Until filled The North Routt Community Charter School is seeking a Substitute Lead Early Childhood Instructor This is a Per Diem position.Job Goal:
North Routt Early Childhood Center is currently seeking passionate early childhood educators at our beautiful Clark, Colorado campus. Our school provides a professional environment where educators can focus their time on igniting the joy of learning in their students. We are seeking committed educators who embrace progressive quality education that values community, relationships, collaboration, and individuality of children. We are a child-led, exploratory, nature and project based learning environment. We value outdoor education and spend lots of time exploring nature. We are a school where teachers, parents, and the community are collaborators and partners in a child's educational journey.Compensation:
$25.00 What we offer: School work days follow a school break schedule with 10 weeks off throughout the school year and 3 days per week during 6 weeks of Summer Programming Professional development assistanceSchedule:

Tuesday•Thursday; 8am•4pmPrimary Responsibilities:
The following are examples of primary duties assigned to a Substitute Lead ECC instructor. Other related primary duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Implement activities utilizing art, gardening, and cooking materials, as well as loose parts play,physical movement, and imaginary play in an emergent curriculum/project-based school setting, with support of the Director. Support different stages of development and learning styles within one classroom. Work in collaboration with colleagues. Prepare and maintain a clean, orderly, attractive and regularly updated environment. Create an environment of collaboration, respect, kindness and gentleness for all students, and a commitment to working in and fostering an inclusive community. Communicate to families in-person daily as well as weekly electronic forms of communication. Support children and families with potty training. Attend all required training and complete 15 hours of continuing education annually and provide the director with documentation of these trainings in accordance with state requirements. Work with children of all ages at the Early Childhood Center; Toddler Room ages 1-3yrs, Preschool 2.5-5yrs. This includes supervision, play, teaching, cleaning, support with self help skills (eating, toileting, dressing, etc) and social-emotional growth and wellbeing. Be familiar with all health and emergency policies of the program and be ready to implement them if necessary Follow Colorado Minimum Rules and Regulations for Child Care Centers. Work outdoors in a variety of weather and engage young children in physical activities.Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to frequently walk, bend, stand, stoop, reach, push, carry, and engage in moderate physical effort (lifting to 50 lbs.) and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Willingness to fulfill the above mentioned duties. Complete and pass a background check and fingerprinting Ability to positively support children's social and emotional well being and/or willingness to engage in training to expand understanding and practices. Experience with positive discipline that fosters respect and kindness and/or willingness to engage in training to enhance these practices. Knowledge and commitment around diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and/or willingness to engage in training to enhance knowledge in these areasEducation/Licenses:
Early Childhood Professional Credential, or willingness to complete, per Colorado Rules and Regulations Obtain and maintain Basic First Aid, CPR certification and MAT (Medication AdministrationTraining) Associates or Bachelors Degree (preferred) One year of verifiable experience in an early childhood program/classroom (preferred) Complies with all state education and licensing standards, and maintains validation of credentials for the position (i.e. 15 hours of professional development annually)Meets minimum preparation and experience required for certification as anEarly Childhood Education Instructor Essential Job Functions:
