We have part-time positions available, Monday through Friday . Established in 1954, Jack and Jill is a small, welcoming neighborhood childcare center serving children from 6 weeks through 6 years old. Our classrooms include infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We provide a nurturing, play-based environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Responsibilities Provide attentive, nurturing care to children Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development Follow classroom schedules and daily routines Communicate professionally and warmly with families Share daily updates and photos through Brightwheel Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, and outdoor play as appropriate Follow all center policies and Connecticut Office of Early Childhood requirements Work cooperatively with other teachers and classroom team members Qualifications Previous childcare or early childhood education experience is preferred but not required Patient, dependable, nurturing, and enthusiastic Able to communicate effectively with children, families, and coworkers Willing to complete all required background checks and training CPR and First Aid certification is required, training provided Must be able to meet the physical demands of working with young children, including sitting on the floor, bending, lifting, and participating in active play Schedule Monday through Friday Full-time and part-time positions available No weekends No evening shifts Center hours are 6:30 AM-6:00 PM Specific schedules will be discussed during the interview Why Join Jack and Jill?
