This full-time, paid training opportunity prepares aspiring educators with the skills, experience, and support needed to launch a meaningful career in early childhood education. Through hands-on classroom experience, mentorship, and career guidance, participants will gain practical, job-ready skills while earning income. Upon successful completion, participants will have access to job placement opportunities within CERCLE's network of over 40 childcare programs across Connecticut. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about working with young children and building a stable, purpose-driven career.
Required:
Candidates considering this training must be between ages 16-26 per the program funding eligibility. Responsibilities Participate in a structured, full-time early childhood education training program (40 hours/week) Assist in classroom activities and support the development of young children Learn and apply foundational concepts in child development, health, and safety Implement classroom management strategies and best practices in early learning settings Collaborate with mentors, coaches, and peers for continuous learning and growth Engage in one-on-one mentoring and professional development sessions Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to learning Qualifications Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to support children, families, and team collaboration.
