Bodel Childcare Center is seeking a creative and engaged Teacher to work in our PreK 4 classroom. Bodel is a high-quality childcare center that provides small group size and excellent ratios (5:1 for preschool with 10 children). Our curriculum is an emergent curriculum using the ELDS and DOTs. Within that framework, teachers are given the opportunity to explore various approaches as their own interests and understanding grow. Bodel uses a Co-Teacher model in our classrooms. Together, each classroom team is responsible for the overall management, leadership, and education of the children and families in their classroom. They plan, lead, adhere to, and implement classroom curriculum and activities in accordance with the Center's Mission statement, philosophy, guiding principles, policies, and procedures and in accordance with NAEYC, state licensing, and program standards and regulations as they guide and promote the development of children. Duties include but are not limited to

• observation and assessment,
• communication with families,
• meeting with supervisors, families, and coworkers, and
• the development of lesson plans. To be considered for this position, a candidate must have
• at least an Associate's degree in ECE, Human/Child Development or a related field with two years' work experience in early childhood education,
• OR a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in ECE, Human/Child Development, or a related field with one year work experience in early childhood education.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

Salary is commensurate with level of education.

Pay:

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
