Early Childhood Education Teacher Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Delaware Early Learning Foundations (ELFs). Maintain a safe, healthy, and engaging classroom environment. Observe and assess children's development. Build positive relationships with children and families. Supervise assistant teachers and classroom volunteers. Maintain compliance with Delaware OCCL regulations and center policies. Participate in professional development and staff meetings.

Delaware Requirements Applicants must:

Be at least 18 years of age. Meet Delaware OCCL qualifications for an Early Childhood Teacher.

Possess one of the following:

CDA (Child Development Associate) credential; or Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field with qualifying coursework; or Meet Delaware OCCL approved education and experience requirements. Complete Delaware Criminal Background Check, FBI fingerprinting, and Child Protection Registry clearance. Complete pediatric First Aid and CPR certification (or obtain upon hire). Complete required Delaware Health & Safety training. Be physically able to lift up to 40 pounds and actively supervise young children.
