Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic early childhood education environment. Responsibilities Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills. Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction, ensuring each child's individual developmental needs are met through tailored activities. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful and productive learning environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections. Maintain a safe classroom environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR certifications, mandated reporting laws, and child welfare standards. Support children's emotional well-being through nurturing interactions, early intervention strategies, and classroom management best practices. Document children's development progress using standardized testing methods when appropriate, ensuring compliance with educational standards. Skills Extensive experience working with children across various age groups in daycare or preschool settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development instruction, early intervention strategies, and special education needs. Proven ability to develop engaging curricula that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth. Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and teamwork within the classroom environment. Skilled in classroom management techniques that foster a positive learning atmosphere while maintaining discipline. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Ability to adapt lesson plans for children with diverse learning needs or disabilities. Experience teaching physical education activities that promote motor skills development. Knowledge of standard childcare practices including toddler care routines and preschool teaching methodologies. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or highly preferred to ensure safety during all activities.
