This is a hands-on administrative and instructional leadership role supporting daily center operations, staff development, and regulatory compliance in a licensed early childhood program. This position is ideal for an early childhood professional who enjoys mentoring teachers, supporting families, and helping a center operate at a high level of quality and professionalism. What You'll Do In Center Leadership & Operations Support daily operations including scheduling, enrollment coordination, and administrative oversight Assist with implementing center policies, procedures, and operational systems Ensure compliance with Florida childcare licensing , health, and safety regulations Staff Leadership & Development Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and supervising teaching staff Maintain classroom ratios and ensure appropriate staffing coverage Support staff performance management, coaching, and professional growth Lead or assist with staff meetings and center communications Program Quality & Curriculum Support Support implementation of age-appropriate, high-quality curriculum Monitor classroom environments for safety, engagement, and compliance Mentor teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and best practices Family & Community Engagement Build positive relationships with families and respond to concerns professionally Support family conferences, events, and engagement initiatives Assist with enrollment growth, marketing efforts, and community outreach Safety, Compliance & Documentation Assist with safety drills, incident reporting, and recordkeeping Track staff certifications (CPR, First Aid, required training) Respond appropriately to emergencies following established protocols Qualifications & Experience Active Florida Staff Credential and FCCPC required Florida Director Credential preferred CDA, Associate, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or related field (Master's degree a plus) Minimum 3 years of classroom teaching experience At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in a childcare or preschool setting Strong working knowledge of Florida childcare licensing regulations Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required What We Offer Competitive hourly pay with growth potential Paid holidays, vacation, and sick time Dental and vision insurance options Life Insurance Retirement plan and employee assistance program Childcare discounts for staff Paid professional development and advancement opportunities
Pay:
