Duties Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management. Conduct ongoing assessments of child development to tailor instruction and support individual learning needs. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Manage classroom routines efficiently, including transitions, meal times, nap times, and activities to ensure a structured yet flexible learning atmosphere. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to health and safety standards such as first aid and CPR certification. Experience Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management for young learners. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and early intervention practices. Experience teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, or standardized testing in early childhood settings is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Familiarity with special education practices and child welfare standards enhances your ability to support diverse student populations. Valid certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional credentials such as early childhood education certification or preschool teaching license are advantageous.
