For the 2023-2024 school year, we are currently looking to expand our team with the following: Full-time Preschool (Early Childhood) teacher. Preferred applicants will be Christ-centered individuals with prior experience teaching preschool students. Applicants must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development to ensure a loving, stimulating, and safe classroom environment where individual children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults.
Minimum qualifications:
1) 45 hours or completion of the 45 hours within 90 days of employment; 2) Child Development Associate (CDA) or degree in early education; 3) Two years experience working in a preschool setting; 4) Current certificate for the four-hour first-aid and four-hour adult/child/infant CPR course or willing to work on obtaining one within 90 days of employment. While knowledge of classical teaching methods is preferred, we will also welcome as applicants scholars and life-long lovers and pursuers of knowledge and wisdom . Candidates must be detail-oriented; they should aim towards mastery of the following subjects: early childhood language, mathematics, and music literacy; poetry; story telling; gross and fine motor development in early childhood. Conversational Spanish language is a plus. Candidates should have strong classroom management skills and be very well organized. Schedule is 8:15 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. daily.
