Job Description

Job Summary GPA Learning Center is seeking a loving, dependable, energetic, and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our growing team. We are building a nurturing, family centered learning environment where children feel safe, supported, loved, and excited to learn. We are looking for a teacher who genuinely enjoys working with young children and understands the importance of providing both quality care and a strong educational foundation.
Minimum Qualifications Applicants must:
Be 21 years of age or older Have at least 2 years of childcare/preschool experience Have completed the required DCF 40-Hour Child Care Training Be able to successfully pass a DCF Level 2 background screening Have a high school diploma or equivalent Be dependable, punctual, patient, and professional Have strong classroom management and communication skills Be comfortable communicating professionally with parents and families Be able to work collaboratively with other teachers and administration Responsibilities Maintain a safe, loving, structured, and engaging classroom Supervise and actively engage with children throughout the day Implement age-appropriate learning activities and lesson plans Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom Follow all DCF, licensing, health, and safety requirements Maintain required classroom and child records Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child's day and development Assist with meals, transitions, outdoor play, and daily classroom routines Work collaboratively with administration and fellow teachers Who We're Looking For Working at GPA Learning Center is about more than simply supervising children. $17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
