Jacksonville, FL Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM-10:00 PM | 24 hours per week Kids By The Hour is looking for a dependable, patient, and energetic evening teacher who enjoys working with children and takes pride in keeping a classroom clean and organized. You must be comfortable caring for children ages 0-12 in a mixed-age environment , balancing different needs, and keeping children engaged throughout the evening. Responsibilities Provide attentive, nurturing care and actively supervise children. Follow the provided curriculum every evening, preparing and leading age-appropriate activities. Adapt activities to include children of different ages and abilities. Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and evening routines as needed. Use positive guidance to support behavior and help children play together. Communicate professionally with parents at pickup and share updates about their children. Keep the classroom tidy throughout the shift. Complete nightly classroom cleaning and closing duties , including cleaning and sanitizing toys and surfaces, organizing materials, removing trash, and cleaning floors. Leave the classroom clean, stocked, and ready for the next day while maintaining supervision until every child has been picked up. We're looking for someone who: Enjoys working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children. Can confidently manage the needs of a mixed-age group. Consistently follows curriculum and classroom routines. Takes initiative with cleaning and organizing. Is calm, patient, dependable, and comfortable communicating with adults. Is available for the full 4:00-10:00 PM shift every Monday through Thursday . Previous childcare experience, especially with mixed ages, is preferred.
