The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for infants and a desire to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and develop. The Infant Room Teacher will be responsible for meeting the individual needs of each child while supporting their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Responsibilities Provide loving, attentive, and responsive care to infants throughout the day. Maintain constant supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of all children. Follow each infant's individual feeding, sleeping, diapering, and care routines. Feed infants and prepare bottles according to parent instructions and center policies. Change diapers and maintain proper hygiene and sanitation practices. Provide age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, exploration, development, and socialization. Engage infants through talking, reading, singing, tummy time, sensory activities, and play. Comfort and respond appropriately to each infant's needs and cues. Maintain accurate daily records of feeding, diapering, sleeping, and activities. Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child's daily care and development. Keep the infant classroom clean, organized, safe, and well-stocked. Work cooperatively with other teachers and center staff. Follow all center policies, health and safety procedures, and applicable childcare regulations. Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development. Bend, squat, sit on the floor, stand, and lift/carry infants and classroom materials throughout the day. Qualifications A genuine passion for working with infants and young children. Caring, patient, dependable, responsible, and nurturing personality. Ability to safely lift and carry infants on a daily basis. Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively. Previous infant or childcare experience preferred. Must be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification . Must be willing to complete required DCF training courses . Must meet all applicable childcare employment and background-screening requirements. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting on the floor, reaching, lifting, and carrying infants and classroom materials.
