Full Job Description Schedule/Hours:

40 hours week This position is responsible for: Assists the Child Care Administrator in planning, developing, and evaluating the day-to-day operations of the Child Care Center to maintain an environment conducive to the growth and development of children, parents and staff consistent with the philosophy and goals of the Center and the policies of The Salvation Army; promotes the Center in the community and specifically to perspective families; leads the teaching staff in the development and implementation of curriculum that is age appropriate, stimulating and educational.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists in developing and communicating operating procedures, policies, and goals for the Center operations to ensure the smooth operation of the Center, to ensure the permanence and stability of the Center and to maintain compliance with accreditation and licensing requirements, state and local regulations which includes enrollment, safety, food, and health regulations; ensures Center operations are in compliance with The Salvation Army philosophy and policies. Maintains and supervises the maintenance of accurate and complete records as required by regulations, government-funded programs, Salvation Army policy, or ease of functioning, including personnel, financial, enrollment, and inventory.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements Ability to maintain a satisfactory medical report as required by licensing standards. Ability to lift, hold, and carry children on a regular basis (up to 50 lbs.) Work is performed in a normal childcare/preschool environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt and the like.

Licenses and Certifications:
