Duties Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning tailored to preschool-aged children Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections Conduct assessments of child development using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instruction Incorporate early intervention strategies for children with special needs or developmental delays, ensuring individualized support Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure child welfare standards are consistently met Experience Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is required, with demonstrated classroom management skills Knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention practices, and special education accommodations is highly desirable Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education is essential Familiarity with classroom experience involving toddlers and preschoolers, including daycare experience or private school teaching roles Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration 40 hours with DCF required Proven ability to work within mandated reporting laws while maintaining a nurturing environment focused on child welfare Join us in shaping the future by providing young children with a joyful, enriching educational experience.
