Overview Join our Christ-centered early childhood education team as a VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Lead Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds and hearts will help inspire the next generation! In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a loving, faith-filled learning environment for preschool children. As a Christian preschool, we are committed to helping children grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Your expertise in early childhood development, combined with your enthusiasm for teaching and your love for Christ, will help children build foundational skills in literacy, math, social-emotional learning, physical development, and an understanding of God's love. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's educational journeys while working in a supportive, faith-based, and collaborative environment. Duties Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards while incorporating Biblical principles, prayer, and age-appropriate Bible stories Foster a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered classroom environment that encourages curiosity, kindness, and a love for learning Model Christ-like behavior through patience, love, grace, and respect in all interactions with children and staff Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress through observations, standardized testing, and documentation to tailor instruction effectively Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's development, milestones, and classroom activities to promote strong family partnerships Manage classroom behavior using positive, grace-filled discipline strategies that teach forgiveness, self-control, and respect Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements, participate in team meetings, and support a unified, faith-based mission Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations including first aid and CPR certifications Support children's social-emotional and spiritual growth through guidance, conflict resolution, and teaching biblical values such as kindness, patience, and love Incorporate physical education activities to promote motor skills development and overall wellness Document lesson plans, attendance records, and progress reports accurately for administrative review Experience Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills A personal commitment to Christian values and the ability to model and teach those values in a classroom setting Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork within a faith-based environment DCF 45 hours and CDA required Staff credential and completed VPK classes are highly desirable and will be expected to be completed upon hiring School Readiness hours completed prior to beginning Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication not only shapes young minds but also nurtures young hearts in Christ.
