Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. As a Lead Teacher, you will oversee classroom activities, foster developmental growth, and ensure the safety and well-being of all students. This role requires a passion for early childhood education, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to supporting each child's individual needs. Duties Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to preschool-aged children, promoting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Manage daily classroom activities to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Monitor children's progress and document developmental milestones in accordance with educational standards. Maintain a safe classroom environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR protocols. Enforce classroom rules and behavior management strategies that foster respect and cooperation among children. Comply with mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of child abuse or neglect and reporting concerns appropriately. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental needs. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in preschool education and childhood development. Skills Proven teaching experience with young children in a preschool setting. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies. Effective classroom management skills to create an organized, safe, and engaging learning environment. Knowledge of preschool curriculum planning and implementation. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required or willingness to obtain upon hire. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs of young children.
