Responsibilities Design and implement engaging activities that promote physical development, incorporating flooring solutions suitable for various age groups including toddlers and preschoolers. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment by selecting appropriate flooring materials that support mobility, comfort, and safety standards. Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, and transitions to ensure their safety at all times. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that integrate sensory-friendly flooring options to enhance learning experiences. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and environmental considerations related to flooring safety or comfort. Follow mandated reporting laws and health protocols to ensure compliance with childcare regulations. Stay informed about the latest developments in childhood development instruction, classroom management, and flooring safety standards relevant to early childhood settings. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar early childhood education environments. Knowledge of child development instruction principles and behavior management techniques. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and child safety protocols required or willing to obtain upon hire. Strong classroom experience with an emphasis on child supervision and safety procedures. Familiarity with early childhood education best practices, including toddler care and infant care. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to manage classroom environments effectively while ensuring safety through appropriate flooring choices that support mobility and reduce injury risk.
