Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating early intervention strategies and childhood development principles. Facilitate engaging lessons that promote literacy education, math skills, social skills, and physical activity through hands-on activities and play-based learning. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment conducive to learning and exploration. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety. Maintain accurate records of student assessments, attendance, and progress using standardized testing methods when appropriate. Collaborate with colleagues to plan special activities, classroom management strategies, and professional development opportunities focused on early childhood education best practices. Skills Strong knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education standards. Experience working with children in preschool or toddler care settings with a focus on classroom management and behavior management techniques. Proficiency in curriculum development with an emphasis on literacy education, math instruction, and physical education for young children. Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and teamwork within a classroom environment. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and mandated reporting laws related to child welfare. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing when necessary to assess developmental progress. Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure safety during all activities. Prior experience in private school settings or similar educational environments is preferred but not mandatory.
