Duties Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development. Foster a nurturing environment by managing classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies. Support children's development through activities focused on childhood development milestones, early intervention techniques, and special education needs when applicable. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by adhering to childcare standards and health protocols. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or classroom behavior. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum development initiatives that incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies. Conduct assessments using standardized testing where appropriate to monitor progress and tailor instructional approaches accordingly. Requirements Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or private school setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including toddler care, preschool experience, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring activities. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Experience in special education or early intervention programs is a plus. Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and enthusiasm while working with students of diverse backgrounds.
