Job Description
Overview We are seeking a fun and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children . This role involves supporting the lead teachers The Daycare Assistant will engage with children in various activities such as crafts, baking,making Slime and other fun activities Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities that promote early childhood education. Supervise children during playtime, ensuring safety and encouraging positive interactions among peers. Provide care for 3&4 year old toddlers, including potty training assistance Support children with special needs by applying behavior management techniques and individualized care strategies. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to early childhood education and caregiving. Qualifications Experience working with children in a daycare, Headstart or preschool setting is preferred. Knowledge of Arts & Crafts is mandatory Familiarity with fun activities such as making slime, Ocean in a bottle, bubbles and more is mandatory Experience with Autism children is preferable Strong classroom management is preferable Ability to engage in toddler care, including nurturing relationships through play and educational activities. Experience in teaching, babysitting, or nannying roles is beneficial. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
