Grayson Academy is currently seeking a dependable Pre-K Closing Teacher to join our team for our part-time 2:30 PM to 8:00 PM closing shift . In this role, you will relieve the daytime classroom staff and assume responsibility for the Pre-K classroom through the end of the day. You will provide a safe, structured, and engaging environment while supervising afternoon learning activities, communicating with families during dismissal, and completing classroom closing responsibilities. Compensation Grayson Academy utilizes a structured compensation system based on verified Georgia Professional Development System (GA PDS) Career Levels to ensure fairness and consistency for all employees. Starting pay is determined by your verified credentials and GA PDS Career Level. Annual performance evaluations provide opportunities for merit-based raises. GA PDS Career Level & Starting Hourly Rate Level 1 $12.00 Level 2 $13.00 Level 3 $14.00 Level 4 $15.00 Level 5 & 6 $16.00 Level 7 $17.00 Level 8 $18.00 Level 9 $19.00 Level 10 $20.00 Additional Compensation Employees scheduled to work closing shifts ending at 8:00 PM receive an additional $1.00 per hour closing shift differential. GA PDS Career Level must be verified through the Georgia Professional Development System to receive the corresponding starting pay. We are looking for someone who is dependable, confident leading a classroom independently, and passionate about helping children develop the skills they need for kindergarten and beyond. Responsibilities Relieve the daytime teacher and assume responsibility for the classroom during the afternoon. Provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Supervise centers, outdoor play, meals, and afternoon transitions. Build positive relationships with children and their families. Communicate with parents during afternoon pick-up. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom. Complete classroom closing duties each evening. Follow Bright from the Start licensing regulations, Quality Rated standards, and Grayson Academy policies. Communicate important classroom information with the daytime teaching team. Is This You?
