Childcare Teacher - Infant/ToddlerPosition Summary The Infant/Toddler Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 8 weeks to 3 years. This role supports children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development while maintaining open communication with families and ensuring compliance with all licensing regulations. Key Responsibilities Child Development & Care Provide attentive, responsive care to infants and toddlers. Implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote developmental milestones. Support language development through reading, singing, and daily interactions. Encourage exploration and sensory play in a safe environment. Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and maintaining proper hygiene practices. Health & Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free classroom. Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations. Monitor children for signs of illness or developmental concerns and report as needed. Practice safe sleep procedures for infants. Maintain accurate incident and daily activity reports. Family Communication Build positive, professional relationships with families. Provide daily updates on children's activities, meals, naps, and milestones. Classroom Management Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios at all times. Prepare and maintain materials and learning centers. Collaborate with co-teachers and administration. Attend staff meetings and required trainings. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (CDA, TCC, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred). CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Previous experience working with infants and toddlers preferred. Knowledge of child development and early learning standards. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and sit on the floor for extended periods.
