Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Director/Assistant to lead and support our early childhood education programs. Responsibilities Supervise daily activities within the childcare center, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children of various ages Lead classroom management efforts, implementing age-appropriate curriculum focused on childhood development and early education principles Support teachers with lesson planning, child supervision, behavior management, and classroom organization Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and CPR protocols Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to foster strong partnerships Coordinate staff schedules, training sessions on topics such as special education needs and working with children with disabilities Oversee adherence to licensing requirements related to daycare center operations, ensuring quality standards are met or exceeded Qualifications Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is essential Knowledge of childhood development instruction, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration Demonstrated ability to supervise children safely while fostering their social-emotional growth Prior experience in daycare center management or leadership roles is highly desirable Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and early childhood education best practices Join us to make a meaningful difference in young lives!
