Hourly compensation is $14 to $17, depending on experience and education Set Schedule Monday- Friday 9:00am-6:00pm Closed Weekends, Nights and Holidays Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid week off for Winter Break (week of Christmas) Paid Holidays Paid tuition for Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) Medical Plan 401(k) Retirement with 100% match up to 4% salary contribution Bonus Opportunities Supportive leadership team and family environment School location is located at 661 Church Road, Smyrna, GA 30082 Responsibilities Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children. Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis. Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and programming.. Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence. Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior. Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions. Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Smyrna West, and the local, state, or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
Qualifications:
Must meet basic requirements of local childcare regulatory agency 1- 3 years of previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood education, Preschool, PreK, or daycare program required Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
