In this role, you will inspire young learners during a critical developmental stage, fostering curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth. Your energetic approach will create a nurturing classroom environment where toddlers feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to two-year-olds that promotes literacy, math, physical activity, and social skills. Create a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence. Manage daily classroom routines including diapering, potty training, feeding, nap times, and transitions with patience and consistency. Utilize effective behavior management techniques to guide positive social interactions and emotional regulation among toddlers. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through conferences and written updates. Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety. Maintain both company and state health and safety standards through daily routines and practices. Collaborate with team members on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and individualized support for children requiring special education or early intervention services. Skills Extensive experience working directly with young children in a classroom or childcare setting. Strong knowledge of child development principles specific to toddlers and preschool-aged children. Proficiency in curriculum development that includes literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and Montessori methods. Familiarity with behavior management strategies and classroom management best practices. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies. Certification in first aid and CPR; additional credentials in special education or early intervention are a plus. Experience implementing standardized testing or assessments for early childhood programs is desirable. Skills in lesson planning, tutoring, or preschool teaching that foster holistic development including social-emotional learning. Understanding of childhood development stages related to daycare experience or private preschool settings.
