Lead Child Care Teacher Sky Early Learning | Union City, GA Sky Early Learning is seeking an experienced, nurturing, dependable, energetic, and creative Lead Teacher. This is a hands-on position requiring active engagement with children, strong classroom management, attention to safety and cleanliness, and knowledge of Georgia child care and Quality Rated requirements. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of child care/early childhood experience Quality Rated experience/training required CDA, TCC, or ECE credential preferred Current Infant/Child CPR & First Aid Current GaPDS account with required trainings Must pass required background checks Knowledge of Georgia child care policies, licensing procedures, health/safety requirements, sanitation protocols, and Quality Rated standards Reliable transportation and ability to consistently work assigned schedule Responsibilities Create and follow age-appropriate lesson plans, daily schedules, and classroom routines Maintain required daily records, observations, assessments, and developmental progress documentation Provide proper supervision and actively engage with children throughout the day through play, conversation, reading, learning activities, music, movement, and indoor/outdoor experiences Maintain a safe, nurturing, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom Follow all state regulations, Quality Rated standards, and center policies and procedures Maintain professional communication with children, families, coworkers, and administration Clean and sanitize classrooms, children's bathrooms, toys, tables, learning materials, and assigned common areas Follow proper cleaning, sanitizing, disinfecting, safety, and sanitation procedures Immediately address safety, cleanliness, or supervision concerns Active engagement is essential. This is not a position where teachers simply observe children. Teachers are expected to interact, teach, play, communicate, and remain actively involved with children throughout the day. Physical & Professional Requirements Candidates must be able to routinely lift children up to 40 lbs, bend, kneel, stoop, squat, sit on the floor, and independently get on and off the floor throughout the day. This position also requires regular cleaning, sanitizing, indoor/outdoor supervision, and active movement with children. Candidates must be reliable, punctual, trustworthy, caring, responsible, organized, and professional. A professional appearance is required, and scrubs must be worn while working.
