Your role will help develop young children's minds by aiding in developing their social, emotional and cognitive skills through structured play. Qualifications Experience working with young children preferred. Ability to follow routines, maintain safety, and support positive behavior guidance. Strong communication skills and a team‑focused mindset. Must complete all required background checks and training (CPR, First Aid, Mandatory Reporter, etc.).
Key Responsibilities :
Child Supervision & Safety Maintain active, engaged supervision at all times. Follow all safety, health, and sanitation procedures outlined in the employee handbook. Support toileting, diapering, handwashing, and classroom cleanliness according to center policy. Respond to behaviors with positive guidance, redirection, and age‑appropriate strategies. Classroom Environment & Curriculum Implement daily lesson plans, activities, and routines that support learning through play. Create a warm, predictable environment that encourages independence and exploration. Set up engaging centers and materials that reflect developmental goals for two‑year‑olds. Track developmental milestones and assist with assessments as required. Professionalism & Communication Communicate with families in a positive, respectful, and professional manner. Maintain confidentiality and follow all center policies and procedures. Collaborate with coworkers to ensure smooth transitions, shared responsibilities, and consistent routines. Participate in staff meetings, required trainings, and professional development. Teamwork & Center Support Work cooperatively with the classroom team and administration. Assist with cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a safe classroom environment. Support center‑wide needs when requested (break coverage, ratio support, etc.). Model professionalism, reliability, and positive interactions with children, families, and staff.
Pay:
$12.75 - $15.50 per hour
