Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher for children aged 18 months to 2 years to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will serve as a key leader in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. You will be responsible for guiding classroom activities, implementing curriculum plans, and maintaining strong communication with families to ensure each child's growth and well-being are prioritized. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood development milestones, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management. Monitor and document each child's developmental progress through observations, assessments, and standardized testing where applicable. Engage in active classroom management by guiding children's behavior using positive reinforcement strategies and clear expectations. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, challenges, and achievements through meetings, reports, and daily updates. Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that integrate various learning domains such as motor skills, cognitive development, and social skills. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records related to child welfare and safety procedures. Skills Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development instruction and preschool teaching methodologies. Proven experience working with children aged 18 months to 2 years in daycare or preschool settings. Strong skills in curriculum development tailored to toddler care and early intervention strategies. Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively through behavior management techniques and classroom management best practices. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Familiarity with child welfare policies, first aid and CPR certification, and mandated reporting laws. Experience integrating literacy education, math concepts, physical education activities, and standardized testing into daily lessons. Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons through lesson planning tools while fostering a love of learning in young children.
