Your expertise will guide children through their early learning journey, emphasizing social-emotional development, literacy skills, and foundational concepts in math and physical activity. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of toddlers, incorporating literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support language development, fine and gross motor skills, and early childhood milestones. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental goals, and address any concerns or questions. Maintain accurate documentation of child development progress, behavior reports, and classroom activities in accordance with mandated reporting laws. Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently; administer first aid and CPR when necessary to safeguard children's well-being. Collaborate with colleagues to plan special events, assessments using standardized testing where appropriate, and inclusive strategies for children with special education needs or requiring early intervention services. Experience Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential; at least one year of classroom experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of child development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Experience developing curriculum content that includes literacy education, math instruction (including basic numeracy), and physical activity programs. Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs to support diverse learning needs. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork within a collaborative environment. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is highly valued. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws ensures compliance with legal requirements related to child welfare.
