Company Overview St. John Noah's Ark Daycare and Preschool is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual, emotional, and educational growth of children ages 8 weeks to 10 years. Our Christian-based program supports families in their early childhood rearing efforts, providing a developmentally appropriate environment for every child. Summary As an Assistant Teacher at St. John Noah's Ark Daycare and Preschool, you will play a vital role in supporting the lead teacher in delivering a nurturing and educational experience for our young learners. This position is essential in helping children grow spiritually, socially, and academically within a Christian framework. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities that promote child development. Provide attentive care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Support the development of age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with our Christian values. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional growth. Assist with behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills. Qualifications Experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff. Knowledge of Montessori principles or similar educational approaches is a plus. Ability to provide nurturing care for toddlers and young children. Understanding of behavior management techniques to support children's development. Familiarity with curriculum development practices is beneficial but not required. A passion for working with young children in a Christian environment.
