Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for toddlers Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence Engage children in hands-on activities that support early literacy, math skills, and physical development Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding each child's progress, needs, and milestones Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to safeguard children's well-being Collaborate with colleagues to plan classroom activities, assessments, and special events that enhance learning experiences Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and assessments in accordance with licensing standards Skills Strong knowledge of child development principles specific to toddlers and preschool-aged children Experience designing curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards Proficiency in classroom management and behavior management techniques for young children Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners Familiarity with early intervention strategies and special education needs for young learners Ability to implement literacy education activities that foster early reading skills Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and health safety protocols in childcare settings Experience working with children in daycare or preschool environments, including private school settings if applicable Competence in lesson planning that incorporates physical education and developmental milestones Understanding of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment Commitment to child welfare laws, mandated reporting requirements, and best practices in childhood development Join us in creating an enriching environment where toddlers thrive!
