Daycare Teacher The Little Play Hut Preschool & Daycare The Little Play Hut Preschool & Daycare is looking for a caring, dependable, energetic Daycare Teacher to join our growing team! We are a play-based childcare center focused on creating a safe, nurturing, engaging, and positive environment where children can learn, play, and grow. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, works well as part of a team, communicates effectively, and understands the importance of consistency and safety in a childcare setting. Responsibilities As a Daycare Teacher, you will: Provide attentive, loving, and appropriate care for children throughout the day Supervise children closely and maintain a safe classroom environment Work cooperatively with your co-teacher and other staff members Follow classroom routines, schedules, and transition procedures Lead age-appropriate learning activities, crafts, sensory activities, and play Assist with meals, snacks, naps, diapering, potty training, and bathroom routines as appropriate for your classroom Complete required daily documentation accurately and on time Maintain attendance, diapering, potty, feeding, nap, and other required classroom logs Follow all allergy and dietary restriction procedures Keep the classroom clean, organized, sanitized, and prepared for the children Communicate professionally and positively with parents, coworkers, and management Follow all health, safety, licensing, and center policies and procedures Participate in required staff meetings and trainings Help create a welcoming, positive environment for every child and family What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is: Dependable and punctual Patient, caring, and energetic Comfortable working as part of a co-teaching team Able to take initiative without needing constant direction Able to communicate professionally with families and coworkers Organized and able to follow established procedures Comfortable caring for and actively supervising young children Willing to participate in required training and professional development Able to pass all required background checks and meet applicable childcare requirements Previous childcare, preschool, daycare, or early childhood education experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates who have a great attitude and are eager to learn.
