Position Summary The Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for creating and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with the Idaho Early Learning Standards while fostering a positive, structured classroom environment. This individual will build strong relationships with students, families, and fellow educators to ensure every child thrives. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging daily lessons using developmentally appropriate practices. Create a warm, welcoming classroom that promotes exploration, independence, and kindergarten readiness. Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment. Complete daily observations, assessments, and documentation of student progress. Communicate professionally and consistently with families regarding student development and classroom activities. Collaborate with administration and fellow teachers to support Teaching World's mission and educational philosophy. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events. Follow all Idaho licensing regulations and Teaching World policies and procedures. Qualifications Current, expired, or in-progress Idaho teaching certification in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field. Experience teaching Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, or Kindergarten-aged children is preferred. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Passion for early childhood education and a genuine commitment to helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that foster kindergarten readiness. Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Must successfully pass all required background checks in accordance with Idaho licensing requirements. Ability to work collaboratively with families, fellow educators, and administration while contributing to Teaching World's positive, team-oriented culture. Why Join Teaching World?
