The Lead Teacher ensures a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment, supports children's developmental milestones, and lo fosters strong communication with families and staff. Key Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, activities, and curriculum that align with state standards and program philosophy. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes exploration and learning. Supervise, guide, and support assistant teachers and classroom aides. Observe, assess, and document each child's development and progress; maintain accurate records and portfolios. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff through open communication and collaboration. Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, and center policies. Manage classroom routines including meals, rest time, and transitions. Provide individualized support for children's needs, including those with developmental or behavioral challenges. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an early childhood classroom (lead experience preferred). CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Knowledge of child development principles, curriculum planning, and positive behavior guidance. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with children in indoor and outdoor settings. Must pass background check and meet all state licensing requirements.
Pay:
$12.00 - $17.00 per hour
