Director Educational Qualifications:
Illinois DCFS Director Qualifications:
a minimum of an Associate Degree in child development or early childhood education OR 64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 hours of college credit in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education And one of the following: Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential OR
  • 3 semester hours of college credit in administration, leadership, or management
Responsibilities:
Assist in the daily care and education of children while engaging in lots of fun activities. Assist with the implementation of Kiddie Academy's Life Essential Curriculum. Prepares and implements classroom lesson plans, program, and schedule. Adhere to Kiddie Academy's policy with regards to documenting and implementing daily activities. Assist the director as needed with Academy operations. Responsible for handling many different obligations from being in the classroom, opening/closing the academy, to answering the telephone. Daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom and children. Maintain compliance with Kiddie Academy standards. Required to spend 70% of the time in classroom, in ratio.
