at Champaign County Regional Planning Commission in Champaign, Illinois, United States Job Description Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is seeking a PreK Teacher to join our team providing services in Champaign County. Champaign County RPC is a people-focused agency made up of over 100 programs designed to generate possibilities for all within our community. A great deal of planning goes into creating opportunities where people can succeed on their own, and RPC is doing that work. From analysis to policy guidance to offering services to our communities, RPC's people plan for people. The PreK Teacher is responsible for managing the classroom and carrying out a developmentally appropriate educational program to meet the individual needs of each child and Illinois Early Learning Standards. An important role of the PreK Teacher is to provide leadership for our students and by creating a positive learning environment where Head Start children gain the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that lead to future school success. Our organization requires that the PreK Teachers ensure a supportive and welcoming environment every day and fosters a sense of safety for staff, families, and children.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to fulfill all DCFS requirements, including a physical and criminal background check Illinois Early Childhood Professional Educator License (EC PEL) Experience with preschool children preferred Ability to lift children Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
