Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Assistant to join our childcare family/ team in a nurturing and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in providing high-quality care and education to young children, focusing on their developmental needs and fostering a love for learning. This role involves working closely with toddlers and preschool-aged children, implementing lesson plans, and promoting literacy education while ensuring a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere. We are seeking full position and part time position. Full time hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday and part time hours are 25 to 30 hrs a week Monday through Friday. Pay rate is $17 per hour. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans that promote educational growth and development. Provide attentive care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment conducive to learning. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and social interaction. Foster literacy education through storytelling, circle time, and interactive play. Collaborate with the teaching staff to develop strategies for working with children with autism or other developmental challenges. Maintain organized classroom materials and resources to facilitate effective learning experiences. Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities. Requirements Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred, particularly in a daycare. Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and child development principles. Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of young learners. Experience or knowledge in toddler care is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. A passion for educating young children and fostering their growth in a supportive environment. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children.
