Assistant Infant Teacher Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant teachers assistant to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This position requires creativity, patience, and a strong understanding of childhood development principles to effectively engage with students and support their learning journey.

Schedule:

Tuesday through Friday, 6:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Pay:

$16.00-$17.25 per hour

Responsibilities:

Provide loving, attentive, and responsive care to infants throughout the day. Assist the lead teacher in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. Follow each infant's individual feeding, sleeping, and care schedule. Prepare and give bottles and meals according to center procedures and parent instructions. Complete diaper changes and other personal-care routines while following proper sanitation procedures. Engage infants in age-appropriate activities that encourage sensory exploration, language development, movement, social-emotional development, and early learning. Provide tummy time, floor play, reading, music, and other developmentally appropriate experiences. Closely supervise infants and maintain required staff-to-child ratios at all times. Observe children and communicate changes, concerns, or developmental needs to the lead teacher and administration. Maintain accurate daily records of feedings, diaper changes, naps, activities, and other important information. Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, guardians, coworkers, and administration. Maintain a clean and organized classroom by sanitizing toys, equipment, feeding areas, and other surfaces. Follow all center policies, licensing requirements, health procedures, and safety guidelines. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development as required. Work cooperatively with the lead teacher and other staff to create a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to pass required background checks. Previous experience working with infants or young children is preferred. Knowledge of infant care and early childhood development is preferred. Must be patient, dependable, nurturing, and attentive. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to safely lift, carry, and care for infants throughout the workday. Must be comfortable performing diapering, feeding, cleaning, and other routine infant-care responsibilities.
