Preschool Teacher Windy City Academy Position Summary Windy City Academy is looking for a Preschool Teacher to join our team. Responsibilities Create a warm, safe, and welcoming classroom environment for preschool-aged children. Plan and implement fun, age-appropriate activities that support children's development and learning. Follow daily classroom schedules and established curriculum. Encourage children's curiosity, creativity, independence, and confidence. Support children's social and emotional development through positive guidance and age-appropriate behavior management. Assist children with daily routines, including meals, toileting, handwashing, and personal care as needed. Observe children's development and communicate progress and concerns appropriately. Maintain accurate classroom records, attendance, and developmental documentation. Communicate respectfully and professionally with parents and families. Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom. Ensure the health and safety of all children in the classroom. Follow Windy City Academy policies and all applicable childcare licensing and safety requirements. Work cooperatively with other teachers, administrators, and support staff. Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development, and school activities. Serve as a positive role model for children by demonstrating patience, kindness, respect, and professionalism. Qualifications Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Early childhood education coursework, CDA, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree preferred. Must meet all applicable requirements for working in a licensed childcare facility.
