This onsite, full school year contract position is based in a friendly community near South Holland, IL, offering the chance to engage students in meaningful, individualized learning using an online curriculum. You'll collaborate closely with therapists who deliver OT, speech, and social work services directly in the classroom, ensuring a holistic approach to student success.

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 Endorsement required Demonstrated experience teaching elementary-grade special education, ideally with students with intellectual disabilities or diverse learning needs Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and utilizing online curriculum for unique student populations Excellent collaboration and communication skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

Teach and support a caseload of 4th and 5th grade students in a self-contained setting Implement and adapt online curriculum to meet individual educational goals Coordinate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, and social workers for integrated instruction and services within the classroom Maintain accurate records, develop IEPs, and collaborate with teams and families Create a positive, nurturing, and consistent environment for all students The role offers a weekly schedule of 32.5 onsite hours, providing ample time for instruction, collaboration, and planning.
