Job Summary Join a nurturing and dynamic in-home daycare team as a Daycare Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for young children. In this role, you will assist with daily childcare activities, support early childhood development, and ensure each child's needs are met with compassion and professionalism. Your energy and commitment will help foster a positive atmosphere that encourages learning, growth, and fun for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Responsibilities Support the caregiver in supervising children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety and engagement. Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities focused on childhood development and early learning milestones. Maintain a clean, organized environment that promotes safety and hygiene standards in accordance with childcare regulations. Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily routines, developmental progress, and any concerns or updates about their child's well-being. Support behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation among children. Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of neglect or abuse and reporting concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities. Assist in providing basic first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary, ensuring children's health and safety are prioritized at all times. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of child development instruction, classroom management, and early childhood education principles. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a valuable asset. Familiarity with pediatric first aid and CPR certifications to ensure readiness for emergencies. Knowledge of childhood behavior management techniques and classroom experience that fosters positive learning environments. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and well-being. Previous experience in infant care or toddler care settings is advantageous for supporting various age groups effectively.
