Part-Time Childcare Assistant Licensed In-Home Childcare Program - Ellettsville, IN We are looking for a dependable, caring, and energetic part-time childcare assistant to join our small childcare team. This position is being added to help cover hours while one of our full-time teachers is on maternity leave. The position will have set, scheduled hours each week, with the possibility of additional hours when needed for substitute coverage. Position Details Part-time with set weekly hours Opportunity for additional substitute hours as needed Monday-Friday, daytime hours No evenings or weekends Small, established childcare program Responsibilities Assist with the daily care and supervision of children Engage with children during play, learning activities, meals, and daily routines Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment Assist with diapering/toileting and other daily care needs Work cooperatively with other staff Provide patient, attentive, and nurturing care Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Is dependable and punctual Genuinely enjoys working with children Is patient, caring, and energetic Works well as part of a small team Is comfortable caring for children of different ages Is willing to complete required background checks and childcare training Previous childcare experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider the right person who is dependable, eager to learn, and enjoys working with children. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent part-time hours with the possibility of picking up additional hours as needed.
Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
