Child Care Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Child Care Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by providing attentive supervision, engaging in educational activities, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment. Responsibilities Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment that encourages social interaction and behavior management Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or welfare promptly and appropriately Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare area, including toys, supplies, and learning materials Support children with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine care needs in accordance with best practices Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to ensure immediate response to emergencies within 90 days. Must actively supervise children and provide their basic needs. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus Strong classroom experience with toddlers or infants is desirable Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members Familiarity with childhood behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques Ability to follow mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Passion for caregiving, nurturing young children's growth, and creating an engaging learning environment Join us in shaping bright futures! Pay:
$12.00 - $13.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
