Childcare Teacher Calvary Tabernacle - 3.0 Indianapolis, IN Job Details Full-time $15 - $17 an hour 22 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications CPR Certification Teamwork High school diploma or GED First Aid Certification Early Childhood Education Full Job Description Full-time, in-person Role Overview The Childcare Teacher is responsible for providing safe, dependable, and age-appropriate care in a structured, Christ-centered classroom. This position plans daily learning activities, maintains classroom routines, supports children's developmental needs, and communicates professionally with families and staff. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, organized, and committed to creating a positive environment where children can learn and grow. Key Responsibilities Provide attentive, loving, and age-appropriate care for children enrolled at Calvary Christian Childcare Create a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered classroom environment Plan and lead engaging activities that support children's spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development Teach age-appropriate biblical truths through lessons, songs, prayer, and daily interactions Maintain consistent classroom routines, expectations, and positive guidance practices Observe children's development and communicate professionally with parents or guardians Assist children with meals, diapering, toileting, rest periods, and other daily care needs as appropriate Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom Follow all childcare licensing requirements, safety procedures, and organizational policies Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other childcare staff Participate in staff meetings, training, classroom preparation, and special activities as needed Qualifications Childcare, preschool, teaching, or related experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework or credentials preferred A genuine love for children and a desire to support their growth and development Strong communication skills, reliability, patience, and a commitment to excellence Ability to manage a classroom with kindness, consistency, and good judgment Ability to perform the physical responsibilities of childcare, including lifting children, sitting on the floor, bending, standing, and remaining active throughout the day Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification Schedule & Work Environment Full-time position with weekday work hours Work takes place in an active childcare and classroom environment Regular interaction with children, families, teachers, and administrative staff A collaborative, mission-driven environment where every role contributes to the care and development of children
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 32.0 per week
