Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and overall childhood development aligned with educational standards such as Montessori or early childhood education principles Plan engaging lessons that incorporate classroom management strategies, behavior management techniques, and inclusive practices for children with diverse needs, including special education and early intervention programs Foster a nurturing environment by providing attentive toddler care and supporting children's social-emotional growth through positive reinforcement and guidance Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to build strong partnerships Maintain accurate records of student progress, standardized testing results, lesson plans, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws Ensure safety by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols, monitoring classroom activities, and managing health-related concerns promptly Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive learning environment that supports classroom experience, curriculum development, and school-wide initiatives Skills Extensive experience working with children across various age groups, especially preschoolers and toddlers Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques Familiarity with special education strategies, early intervention practices, and literacy education methods Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners Skilled in lesson planning that incorporates Montessori methods or other early childhood education frameworks Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining a structured classroom environment Certified in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is essential Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children in core subjects like math or reading is advantageous Demonstrated commitment to child welfare, daycare standards, and preschool teaching best practices Join us in shaping the future by providing a joyful learning experience that empowers young children to thrive!
