Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Toddler Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire the next generation of learners! Your expertise in early childhood education, combined with your enthusiasm for teaching and child welfare, will foster a love of learning and support each child's growth. Responsibilities Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math, physical activity, and social-emotional development aligned with early childhood education standards. Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior through effective classroom management techniques. Engage children in hands-on activities that support developmental milestones in language, motor skills, and cognitive growth. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, ensuring transparency and collaboration. Maintain accurate documentation of child development progress, attendance records, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development related to special education, early intervention strategies, and Montessori or other educational philosophies. Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications and implementing proper childcare practices. Requirements Proven experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting; preschool or daycare experience preferred. Strong knowledge of child development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with curriculum development for early learners, including literacy education and standardized testing preparation. Experience teaching physical education activities and integrating movement into daily routines. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR; ongoing commitment to child welfare standards is essential. Ability to follow mandated reporting laws diligently while maintaining confidentiality.
