Purpose of Floater Teacher Position:
To assist classroom teachers throughout the learning center while learning and gaining experience of the different age level classrooms. Duties and Responsibilities Meet the needs of all children; including those who are at risk, those with special needs, those who are gifted, and those who are culturally diverse. Integrate all Gifted components into classroom time. Individualize one-to-one and group activities to reflect the unique needs and strengths of all children in the classroom. Follow a consistent schedule when working in various classrooms. Assist classrooms with encouraging experimentation, exploration, problem solving, cooperation, socialization, and choice-making; ask open-ended questions and listen respectfully to the answers. Supervise and monitor children at all times. Observes all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times Performs other duties as assigned Education and Training High School Diploma Required CPR Trained Childcare experience preferred Skills Strong Communication Skills Organizational Skills Time Management Skills Critical Thinking Skills Imaginative Thinking Skills Technological Skills Leadership Skills Personal Attributes Reliable Flexible Patient Team Player Passionate about working w/children Positive Upbeat Motivated' '
