In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a nurturing environment that supports the growth and development of toddlers and infants. Your leadership will ensure that each child receives personalized attention, educational stimulation, and emotional support, laying a strong foundation for their future learning journey. Duties Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to toddlers and infants, incorporating curriculum development principles and early childhood education standards. Lead daily classroom activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all children. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster strong home-school connections. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and staff, providing guidance on classroom management, child welfare, and instructional techniques. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications. Maintain accurate records of child development milestones, attendance, assessments, and standardized testing results to monitor progress and inform instruction. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including toddler care and preschool environments. Strong background in curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and Montessori or other specialized teaching methods. Knowledge of childhood development theories, special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Classroom management expertise with the ability to create an organized, nurturing learning environment. Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is essential. Experience with classroom experience involving physical education activities or tutoring is a plus. Familiarity with preschool teaching standards, daycare practices, private school environments, and standardized testing procedures is preferred.
