Job Description

Job Description The Childcare Worker is responsible for implementing an aftercare classroom, or on an as needed bases in other NCC classrooms. ensuring that required ratios are maintained, fully implementing required health and safety practices as required by the Louisiana Department of Education and Louisiana Health Department, and providing engaging, age-appropriate activities for the children. This is a part-time position. Responsibilities
  • Must have the ability to relate sensitively to children and their families
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with families and staff
  • Must be agile and energetic enough to perform daily work required for the care of infants, toddlers, and/or children
  • Must be able to lift, move, push, pull or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as the ability to sit, stand, walk, or run required
  • Must pass a criminal background record check from the state police prior to employment
  • Must be able maintain consistent and dependable daily attendance with minimal unplanned changes to work schedule. Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
