Happy Hearts Family Child Care is a Licensed, warm, nurturing, smoke-free, and pet-free in-home daycare providing high-quality care for young children. We emphasize play-based learning with a Montessori influence, sensory play, and developmentally appropriate activities.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and energetic Assistant Teacher to join our team. The Assistant will support in supervising and engaging children in daily activities, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and fostering a positive learning experience for all children.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the supervision of children (toddlers and preschoolers) during indoor and outdoor play, meals, naps, and activities Support hands-on learning through play, crafts, music & movement, and sensory activities Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment Communicate positively and effectively with children and parents Follow all safety and health protocols Assist with daily routines including diapering, toileting, and mealtime Attend occasional trainings as needed
Qualifications:
Experience working with young children in a child care or similar setting preferred Warm, patient, and nurturing personality Ability to work well under supervision CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Must be at least 18 years old Background check required
